A Day on the Farm

The opportunity to visit a friend gives me the opportunity to play with my camera. I thoroughly enjoy farm life, beautiful animals, with lots of character, open space, beautiful scenery, the chance to be closer to nature.

When I was a little child, I would often wonder, if the animals talked to each other... Is that cow talking to that turkey? I wonder what they are talking about?

Sometimes an unexpected item can be found....

What would a Farm be without a few farm cats... These two playful cats, are typical as they wait around outside the barn, where the cow is being milked, as if they know they may get a little cream if they wait patiently...

Children are naturally attracted to farms... Farms help to develop curiosity  a love for animals, and a basic understanding of the cycle of life.

The cow is still gossiping with the Turkey??

My favorite flower grows wild and free around the farm...

I LOVE CHICKENS... Perhaps it is because when I was a little girl, I would wake each day to the sound of the Rooster's call... His voice was a beautiful melody, I never hated, but grew to love. When I hear a Rooster call, childhood memories fill my mind... Days when my baby brother, who was only two would walk around in his little diapers, playing with the chickens, or playing with the turkey's, they did not seem to mind, because he was so small and did not cause them any harm.  Those memories just make me SMILE!

Have you ever smelled clothes after they have hung on the line to dry.. A Crisp fresh smell, that smells almost sweet.

A Day on the Farm... What a BEAUTIFUL DAY!!

What are boys made of....

What are little boys made of?
What are little boys made of
Slugs and snails
And puppy dogs' tails,
That's what little boys are made of.

What are little girls made of?
What are little girls made of?
Sugar and spice
And everything nice,
That's what little girls are made of.

The Mighty Moon

The moon, one of the most difficult objects to take a picture of. It requires, a very steady hand, so using a tripod or a fence post if very essential when taking night pictures. This is my favorite picture of the moon. It was taken on a night of a blue moon.

All of God's Creatures, Great and Small

So, What is at the end of the Rainbow?

My Personal Photo Journal

Learning to take a good picture has been an adventure. Each picture teaches me something new, allows me to explore the abilities of the camera. Each picture is worth a thousand words, and is a journal entry for my life.

This picture is one of my first, I took it an early morning, after a disappointing hunting trip day. After coming home and looking at my pictures, I realized how much of a great day it was, even if were frozen, and did not get a thing. The beauty was amazing!

I stopped by the side of the road, out by Hazelton, Idaho, to take these pictures. These sights are common in Idaho, but I love symmetry, the lines are orderly, and I love the shine of the silo... BEAUTIFUL

One of my most difficult pictures, because if wait just a moment to long the bird will fly away. This little Robin was very difficult to catch. But well worth the effort.

Reflection... I went out one morning to catch the most beautiful sunrise, but I found the reflection in the pipes  to be very fascinating and really fun to look at it.
DOG...I was fishing at Rock Creek Park, in Twin Falls, Idaho, when I saw the most beautiful dog. Perfect fur, and such a beautiful color. This was a fun picture to edit.

Symmetry...is what I love about these trees...

Trying to catch the sun can be difficult

Best times to catch the sun, is in the early morning

Or later at night, just as the sun begins to set

Nature's Fury

Lightening
Fast
the
Furious
Frightening
Storm

Thunder
Scares

Lightening
fascinates

The
storm
passes
but leaves
behind
curiosity

When I was a little child, lightening fascinated me
and scared me.

I have finally been able to accomplish that dream.
I have always wanted to take a picture of it.

I look forward to the next storm now.
